"Scars heal or maybe they just fade"

Do you know where I got this quote? I'll give you a minute to think about it. It's from a recent movie. It's from a kids movie. Got it yet? Well that's OK, its new. I'll give you a break this time. It's from Kung Fu Panda 2.
You are probably asking yourself why in the world is she blogging about this. Well I'll tell you.

While we were in Valdosta, tagging along with Zeus' TDY, I took the babies to the movies. Of course, I needed to take them to something they enjoy. So the choice was simple, Kung Fu Panda 2. This was a great movie. Great choice for kids but let me tell you why for teenagers and adults. The "message" of the movie was the biggest reason I believe people of all ages should go see this.

Po, the panda, has a history just like everyone in the world. We all have memories of childhood and sometimes those memories are not so pretty. That doesn't delete them from our memory though. The movie does an amazing job of creating this storyline of Po's past while keeping you entranced on what is about to happen in the future. The positive view and idea involves blended families basically through adoption. It is amazing how they take you through Po's inward struggle to find himself, his true self. Not knowing who he is or where he was from created problems for his daily life. It made him question himself. Po the Panda is lost. The movie takes you through this struggle to find inward peace, to accept who you are no matter where you came from.

I connected with this message from the very beginning. At one point the movie made me cry because I was so involved as if Po were me. I understood completely what Po was feeling almost the whole way through the movie. My childhood had missing pieces many unknowns that I continue to uncover through my adult life. I too, wandered what I was, who I was and what I can and will be. That is huge for someone with a murky, muddied history. Like Po, I knew who my family was until a MASSIVE revelation occurred. Then my world, like Po's, was turned upside down. I lost myself, just like him. I was confused. But like Po, I am working to find my inner peace. It's not easy, but understanding that my family whether blood or paper is my family will get me through the rough days ahead.

So if you are looking for a movie with amazing graphics, cinematography, storyline and fun for kids, Kung Fu Panda 2 is for you. I am glad I went and you will too.

Friends keep having babies!!!

I Love Babies. Yes, its true. That's the greatest part of having friends. They give me a chance to love and care for more and more babies.

So I have a really good friend that now calls Ohio home. She will be welcoming baby #3 any day now and I am over the moon for her. I miss her smile, her company, her sweet girls, and her confidence. I miss you friend. So in Twinkle fashion I decided to continue my creativity.

This is what I made her a while back.

I also added some sweet baby boy clothes as well.

If I can't be there to share my love, then I must mail it. Right? Babycakes it is!!!

Love you girl and wish I could be there to love and support you when Sweet baby boy gets here.
Good Luck.
